On a cold and wintry night in 2010, two daffy city rats cooked up a scheme to get all their friends together in the same small room:

HOST A SHOW.

After many disastrous attempts, Mitra Bonshahi and Sylvie Lubow finally landed on a concept that made them cry "YES!" as they went in for a supremely awkward high-five. Have a rotating theme, have some people tell lies, have other people tell truths, and have the audience members guess. Simple, enticing, duplicitous.

The pair hunkered down at one of Greenpoint's diviest dives, watched 6 storytellers take the stage, and were shocked when our audience—such beautiful dum-dums—stayed. They even said they'd come back for another show!

Many moons later, our amazing community is still coming through :)

Two Truths and A Lie now resides at Gowanus’ beloved Threes Brewing, and gets its freak on with some of the very best storytellers in the biz. High-five to that.
